For those WSNC Members who are not going to Bayreuth or Seattle, there is another option for some interesting Wagnerian programming.

Bard College along the scenic Hudson River is devoting much of their two-week Summerscape 2009 to Richard Wagner.

In addition, a rare performances of Meyerbeer opera will be performed Les Huguenot and Aeschylus: Oresteia Trilogy: Agamemnon, Choephori, and The Eumenides.

Rare works will be performed in concert including excerpts from all of the 3 early operas, Wesendonck Lieder, Das Liebesmahl der Apostel among others.
