Cosima Wagner Holiday Celebration Brunch

December 8, 2024 - 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

HERE IS A LINK TO THE PERFORMANCE OF WAGNER’S WESENDONCK LIEDER THAT WAS FEATURED AT THIS EVENT – https://youtu.be/Qj8m9k3DcB0

Our traditional Wagner-centric Holiday Celebration returns once more to the classic Marines Memorial.  This year, in addition to a festive repast served in the beautiful Crystal Lounge, the program will feature a performance of the Wesendonck Lieder by Elisabeth Rosenberg, an up-and-coming Brünnhilde accompanied by the well-known Bay Area Wagnerian, Jonathan Khuner, who is currently the Music Director of West Edge Opera and has previously been on the music staffs of the Metropolitan and San Francisco Operas and, notably, served as prompter for the Ring Cycle in Bayreuth under the baton of James Levine. Together they performed selections from the Ring at our meeting on May 18th which is available for viewing through our Performance Archive.
