2025 Wagner Birthday Party

May 8, 2025 - 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

HERE IS A LINK TO THE ARCHIVAL VIDEO OF THIS PRESENTATION: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-snfkvxiRU

Join us for a casual meet-up and dinner at the sehr echt Suppenküche in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley so we can toast Richard’s 212th birthday together.

  • Dinner will be à la carte and each guest will pay only for what they order. Space is limited so register now. There is no registration fee, but we ask that, as a courtesy to your fellow Wagnerians, you only book if you definitely plan on attending.

To register just email us at wsnc.party@aol.com and advise us your name(s).

You will receive a confirmation email or, if the event is already full, a waitlist confirmation. Remember this is a members only event.

A fixture in trendy Hayes Valley since 1993, Suppenküche is a short walk behind the Opera House at the corner of Hayes and Laguna. Suppenküche literally means Soup Kitchen in German. The name was originally chosen because Fabricius/Fabrizio (Fabi) Wiest (co-founder with Thomas Klausmann) thought all Americans love soup (he has since learned they love beer even more), but also because he liked the reference to soup kitchens, which provide food and community to anyone in need.

In Southern Germany, beer is synonymous with community and tradition. German monks began brewing beer for mass consumption over a thousand years ago, and it remains a vital part of German culture to this day. Suppenküche carries on this tradition in Hayes Valley. For more information on Suppenküche and details of its menu visit their website: https://www.suppenkuche.com/
