In March and April 2020, the Liceu Opera in Barcelona will present the premiere of a new production of Lohengrin by Katharina Wagner and with a fantastic cast of singers (Klaus Florian Vogt, Erin Wall, Evelyn Herlitzius, Günther Groisböck and Roman Trekel), conducted by music director Josep Pons. In this link you will find additional information: https://www.liceubarcelona.cat/en/temporada-2019-2020/opera/lohengrin
This new production will inaugurate the second edition of the BARCELONA OBERTURA SPRING FESTIVAL a common initiative of Liceu Opera, the legendary Art Nouveau jewel Palau de la Música and the modern L’Auditori, a true city of music by itself with its four halls.
The first BARCELONA OBERTURA SPRING FESTIVAL, that just finished, has been a huge success. This festival united for the first time the three main musical institutions of the Mediterranean capital (LICEU OPERA, PALAU DE LA MUSICA AND L’AUDITORI) and provides a high class program that includes big stars from the internacional music scene and also concerts with local talents at special venues and monuments all around the town. Here a short video about the festival: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYWyAdAOHrI
