Wagner Intensive
Diva Jane Eaglen has established the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music “Wagner Intensive”. This “boot camp” for Wagnerian singers will take place in July 2011. The program is designed to launch the careers of aspiring Wagnerian singers with a full compliment of coaching, private lessons, scene study, German language study, staging rehearsals, master classes and two public performances. The College has a newly renovated performance space – Fynette Kulas Music Hall, where the singers will give their public performances. Sadly for those of us on the WEST coast – it’s in Berea, Ohio.

UPDATE: On April 16th, the Board of Directors of the Wagner Society of Northern California, by a unanimous vote of the Board, awarded scholarship funding to the Wagner Intensive Program equivalent to a full scholarship. The Wagner Society of Northern California William O. Cord Memorial Scholarship (or scholarships) will be awarded by the Wagner Intensive Board to applicant(s) based on merit and financial need.
The William O Cord Memorial Grant Fund is funded entirely from private donations from Wagner Society Members and other interested parties. No dues are used to provide grants.
Best wishes to Jane Eaglen, Timothy Mussard and their team of Wagner Intensive colleagues which includes: singer Nancy Maultsby and conductors Eric Weimer and William Vendice.
