Wagner in Berkeley! The Awesome Orchestra led by David Möschler will be performing at the Sports Basement at 2727 Milvia Street @ Ward (One block west from where Adeline and Shattuck converge) in Berkeley January 27, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00. Sports Basement is in the building which was formerly Ice Land. This is a community orchestra and this will be Session #55. The group will perform: Prelude to Act III Lohengrin *; Ferde Grofé’s “Mississippi Suite in 4 Movements” and “Blue Cat Blues” from theTom and Jerry cartoons, composed by Robert Bradley.
WSNC Members will surely recall the concert Awesöme Orchestra performed for the WSNC at the Adeline Arts Hangar in 2015 – the walls were adorned with the art work of Cal Pedranti.
The Sports Basement is walking distance from the Ashby BART. There is street parking in the neighborhood. Awesöme Orchestra encourages use of public transit. The AC Transit Shattuck bus stop is just one block away. Admission is free.
