Music of Remembrance is a Seattle Group which commissions musical works which commemorate the Holocaust. This group will present two world premieres on Monday May18th at the Martin Meyer Auditorium at Temple Emanu-El in San Francico. This event is sponsored by The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Featured is a new work by Jake Heggie entitled Farewell, Auschwitz and a new work by Tom Cipullo entitled After Life. In addition to these two new works will be Dybbuk Dances composed in 1941 in the Lodz Ghetto by David Biegelman and Seranata for Violin and Piano composed by Robert Dauber in the Terezin in 1942.
