HAPPY 202ND BIRTHDAY RICHARD WAGNER!

On May 23, 2015, The Society will be exhibiting 47 paintings of the late WSNC member, artist and gallery owner Cal Pedranti. This event will take place at the Firehouse Arts Hangar, a huge space in which we will be able to exhibit these large works. There will be a silent auction of the paintings.

Big paintings deserve some “BIG BIG” music! The Society has arranged lively musical entertainment featuring the Awesome Orchestra who will play music of Erich Korngold, John Williams and Richard Wagner. The Awesome Orchestra is the brainchild of conductor David Moeschler and the group is a community based group of professional musicians and highly skilled non-professional and student musicians. The music will be presented as a “session” which is similar to a working rehearsal. The conductor and musicians will discuss and work through of each composition and then play the complete work.

This popular “off the grid” food truck serves authentic Bavarian Food. The Viktoria and her crew on the truck will serve up luscious wurst, currywurst, schnitzel and spatzle from Noon until 3:00.
