Happy New Year to all on the BLOG. Here is a tidbit from member Ken Caldiera, many will not want to miss:
The San Jose Chamber Orchestra is scheduled to perform Siegfried Idyll in San Jose this Sunday January 4, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the beautiful and intimate Le Petit Trianon in downtown San Jose. Tickets are still available.
Renowned recording artist and award-winning solo violinist Stephanie Chase kicks off 2015 by joining conductor Barbara Day Turner and the 20-member San José Chamber Orchestra for a concert filled with romantic favorites such as Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll and a work by Spanish violinist-composer Pablo de Sarasate. Composer Anica Galindo is set to be in the house as well for an encore performance of her piece, A Wintry Vale. Winner of the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition and an Avery Fisher career grant, Chase made her debut with the Chicago Symphony at the age of 9.
