The San Francisco Opera announced that Lise Lindstrom will sing the role of Senta in the upcoming performances of Der fliegende Hollander. Ms. Lindstrom is replacing Petra Maria Schnitzer who withdrew from the production due to respiratory ailments. This will be Ms. Lindstrom’s debut with the San Francisco Opera.
Born and raised in California, Ms. Lindstrom received her Bachelors Degree from San Francisco State University and her Master’s Degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has just completed performances of her signature role, Turandot, with the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Lindstrom has also sung the roles of Salome, Brunnhilde, Ariadne, Tosca, and Elizabeth (Tannhauser) – in prominent opera houses the world over.
