As has been reported here, Haus Wahnfried is currently undergoing an extensive renovation. The good news is that the ground floor is scheduled to be open for the Festspiele with new exhibits about King Ludwig’s invaluable patronage which created the Bayreuther Festspiele.

Funding is needed for the on-going acquisition and maintenance of the artifacts of the museum. With this goal in mind, the museum directors have instituted a patron system for individuals to donate money for the ongoing preservation of the Wagner Archives.  It’s easy to do and all donations will be recognized. The site even suggests that individuals might suggest tributary donations to mark birthdays and anniversaries and also legacy donations through wills and trusts.

“Preserving. Creating. Experiencing” is their motto. You too can be a vital patron of the Wagner legacy, just as Ludwig was.
