Alex Ross has a great write-up on James Levine’s return to the podium in New York. It’s a new podium with a lift to accomodate Levine’s power wheelchair.  The good news, and it is very very good, Levine has not lost his touch. The music from Lohengrin, which opened the concert, was reported to be heavenly. Bravo Maestro! Long may he wave!
