Rising waters of the Elbe and Danube are threatening Dresden, Prague, Vienna and other European cities.
The Dresden Semperoper, while on higher ground than much of the city, is still threatened. The Semperopera suffered severe flooding in 2002 and so over 3,000 sandbags have been deployed around the opera house in the hope of preventing another flood.
