A recent article in the New York Times describes the productions of early works of Richard Wagner, long forgotten, which are now being staged and will move to Bayreuth this summer – for the very first time.
Oper Leipzig has produced Die Feen, Das Liebesverbot and Rienzi this year. These same productions will be presented in the huge Oberfrankenhalle in Bayreuth just prior to the regular Bayreuther Festspiele.
