Work is proceeding on a new biographical feature film about the Wagner Family.

Its working title is The Clan: the History of the Wagner Family, currently being directed by Oliver Berben. There was much nepotism in the Wagner Family in Bayreuth.  With that in mind, it is interesting to note that Cosima Wagner will be played by Iris Berben, mother of the film’s director Oliver Berben.

Also interesting is that Justus von Dohnányi will play Richard Wagner. Justus is the son of Christoph von Dohnányi, the conductor.
