The local non-profit arts organization Lieder Alive! is featuring a special concert and lecture on April 27th 7:30 p.m. at Salle Piano Salon in San Francisco. This concert is being presented in conjunction with the Goethe Institut San Francisco.

The event will begin with a lecture on “Wagner and Buddhism” given by Professor Michael von Brück. The lecture will be followed by a lieder and piano recital. Pianist George Fee will perform Wagner’s Piano Sonata in A flat major for Mathilde Wesendonck followed by the Wesendonck Lieder performed by Kindra Scharich, mezzo soprano and Bryan Baker, accompanist.

The cost is $30 per person and advance reservations are required. This is a small venue and is certain to sell out quickly.
