James Levine returns to the Met

In a press release late last night, Metropolitan Opera General Director Peter Gelb announced that James Levine will return to conducting on May 19th, 2013 taking the baton to lead the Met Opera Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. 

Further it was announced that Levine will conduct a new production of Falstaff as well as Cosi fan tutte and Wozzeck in the 2013-2014 Met season.
