The other taxi driving composer
There is an often told ancedote about Phillip Glass. Glass lost so much money producing and presenting his opera “Einstein on the Beach” that he had to go back to driving a taxi to survive.
Here is a local example, Christopher Fulkerson full time composer and full time taxi driver. Dr. Fulkerson is a long-time member of the Wagner Society of Northern California and had given talks for the Society – about Wagner of course.
Here is a just released documentary film on Christopher Fulkerson “The Taxi Composer”.
